Itinerary

Day 1:

Saturday Feb. 3, 2007        Flight to Mexico Cityl

Our Mexican adventure begins today as we board our flight to Mexico DF, the country's capital city. We will stay overnight at the Hostal Moneda in the Zocalo at the heart of the City, single bed, double or dormitory, we will have dinner (all included) there if someone prefers to stay in a luxury Hotel accommodations can be made.

Day 2:

In the morning we will have breakfast at the terrace of the Hostel with a view of the Cathedral and after we will make a walking tour, seeing the Cathedral, the Diego Rivera murals, etc. we will have lunch after the tour free to choose the place and we will go to the Airport to take a Flight 16.25 pm to Tuxtla Gutierrez one hour and a half duration once in Tuxtla we will take a bus to San Cristobal de las Casas, one hour away, in San Cristobal we will relocate to our home stay families or homes.

Monday Feb. 5, 2007

First school day from 9 am to 12 am, (evenings are available) meeting in the evening and a walking tour of San Cristobal, after dinner have fun with live music or dancing at various locations till midnight or after.

Tuesday Feb. 6, 2007

Spanish School for 3 hours, photo classes in digital and cultural activities around Town. You can sign up for: Salsa Dance (included), Mexican cooking, Backstrap loom weaving, Jewelry making with amber and silver, Leather work, or also extra Spanish Classes. Also I will be always available as for shopping tips, or if you need a doctor, dentist etc.

Every day, evening and night there is live music, dinner and dance, go out on your own or I will be there for you as a guide and a friend.

Monday to Friday.

Saturday Feb. 10, 2007

Excursion and photo tour to Palenque, we leave San Cristobal in the morning and we visit the Mayan ruins and the Museum, lunch at the place, (bring a lots of water, is warm and we will walk a lot), we can decide to stay overnight (extra) and rent a cabana, have dinner and live music with dance or to go back to San Cristobal.

Sunday Feb. 11, 2007

Excursion to the waterfalls of Agua Azul, Misol-Ha and Agua Clara. Lunch in Misol-Ha (fee extra) at evening back to San Cristobal.

Monday to Friday.

Spanish School , Photo Classes and Cultural / Fun Activities.

Saturday Feb. 17, 2007

Photo Tour to Canyon of Sumidero , Lunch at the Canyon and back to San Cristobal . (if the group decides to go somewhere else, like the beach, a full weekend needed)

Day 16:

Tour to San Juan de Chamula Carnival (restrictions on taking photos in this location) and visit to the Caves of Rancho Nuevo.

Spanish School , Photo Classes and Cultural / Fun Activities

This week is the Carnival of San Juan de Chamula, we will visit Tuesday or Wednesday Feb. 20/21, this is a big event but no cameras are allowed, this is a once and a lifetime experience.

Photo Tour to The Maya Ruins of Tonina, Lunch on Site.

Farewell Party, this is our last day in San Cristobal.

Bus to Tuxtla de Gutierrez airport, Flight to Mexico City and back to Canada.
