What camera should I bring?

Any camera will do it, if you have a 35 mm or digital reflex is perfect, bring a 28-200 mm lenses or what ever you have (28-70mm & 70-200 mm), also a small digital camera is good, I have taken amazing pictures with one of those.

How many people do you take in the photo tour?

A maximum of 12 people.

How is the Weather in San Cristobal?

Mild with temperatures 14 - 22 C during all year. See Today's Weather

Do I need a passport or a visa for Mexico?

Citizens of Canada are visa-exempted. A passport is always suggested, but not needed. Canadians may enter Mexico holding their original birth certificates, but passport will be required for any Flight Stop in the USA. See: Mexican Consul.

Is a safe town?

What if I don't like my homestay? Can I change?

What is most important to the school is that each and every student is very comfortable in his or her Homestay. If there is a problem that we feel cannot be corrected, we will gladly move you to another family the same day.

What if I want to stay by my own in a Hotel?

Yes, is very easy San Cristobal has plenty of accommodations of all ranges and prices.

We are a couple, can we stay together?

Yes, you do

What if I get sick?

Everyone travels with Travel Insurance, I will take you to the doctor and I will translate for you (if needed).

What includes and excludes in the package?

Does not include the flights to Mexico City and to Tuxtla de Gutierrez (but we can buy them at: Expedia.ca and to Tuxtla de Gutierrez at: Aviacsa or our agent, includes one day hostel in Mexico City, school registration and the spanish classes for 3 weeks, 3 hours a day for the group, salsa lessons on tuesdays and fridays, all the meals and accommodation with the family, transport from the Airports and to them, excursions to Palenque, Sumidero, Agua Azul, Tonina, etc (only the transport, not meals, entrance fees or extras) the photography lessons on the camera or in the computer with Photo Shop, my assistance in showing and explaining the culture and places we will visit.

Do you recommend to bring my own Lap Top?

Yes, the School has wireless internet and you are free to use it as much you want.
